  • Verification: Checking the Bill of Lading (Air/Sea), Commercial Invoice, and Packing List for accuracy.
  • Classification: Assigning the correct HS Codes (Harmonized System) to ensure you pay the legal minimum in duties.
  • Permit Acquisition: Securing necessary certificates from agencies like UNBS (Uganda National Bureau of Standards) or the Ministry of Agriculture.
 
2. Customs Entry & Declaration
Once documents are verified, we initiate the digital clearing process through the Asycuda World system.
  • Entry Filing: Electronic submission of customs declarations to the URA.
  • Tax Assessment: Generating a Payment Registration Number (PRN) for duties, VAT, and other applicable levies.
  • Agency Coordination: Handling interactions with the East African Community (EAC) Single Customs Territory protocols for goods coming through Mombasa or Dar es Salaam.
 
3. Physical Inspection & Verification
If your cargo is flagged for inspection (Red or Yellow lane), our experienced agents are physically present on-site to represent your interests.
  • Verification Liaison: Accompanying customs officers during physical examinations to ensure cargo is handled carefully.

4. Duty Payment & Release

  • Release Orders: Obtaining the final Customs Release Order and gate passes from port or inland container depots (ICDs).

5. Port/Terminal Handling
We manage the physical transition of the goods from the terminal operator to our transport fleet.
  • Tallying: Conducting a final count and condition check as goods are loaded.
  • Wharfage & Storage: Settling port handling charges and storage fees to prevent cargo liens.
 
6. Last-Mile Delivery to Your Doorstep
The process concludes when the goods are safely delivered to your warehouse in Ntinda, Kampala, or any other destination in Uganda.
  • Inland Transit: Moving the cleared cargo via our secure Cargo Transportation fleet.
  • Final Handover: Providing you with a complete file of all original stamped customs documents for your tax records.
  • Status Reporting: Sending a final notification that the mission is complete and the goods are in your possession.
